HOW ARE THE DANCE ROOMS CONSTRUCTED?
Dance is a very physical activity that requires a lot of jumping. This can put stress on the bones and joints. The best way to prevent potential injury is by choosing a studio with a professional “floating floor”. A floating floor is a dance floor that rests on a system of high-density foam to absorb the shock of jumping. A high density foam base is superior to a “sprung floor” which is usually consists of a wood structure built on the regular floor. Our 3 largest dance rooms have floating floors to protect our advanced dancers from such injury.
Room size is also very important. It is very difficult to practice a routine that will be performed on a full size stage in a tiny room. It can also become dangerous in large groups if dancers have to worry about running into one another. Our smallest dance rooms is equivalent to stage size while our larger rooms accommodate a stage along with backstage area to allow dancers to practice entering and exiting in the appropriate space without worry.

Many studios have no one working the front desk while classes are in session. As a result, customers have to wait to ask their questions or make payments. We have 2 attendants on staff at all times at the front desk ready to answer any questions you have and assist you with information, sales, payments, and anything else you can think of.

We believe that dancers should learn injury prevention and have instructors trained in various kinetic studies to assist when aches and pains occur. Some instructors are specially trained to assist dancers who struggle to overcome physical difficulties due to body structure or to help them identify a mechanical malfunction that may be preventing them from achieving a goal. The same method doesn’t always work for all, and we are trained to notice and assist when a child needs are attention.
